Molys on the way to Danica
I just sent both Molys (heidi and Dana) to Danica today.
I don´t feel very confortable with the idea of a person becoming 2 Molys, if someone in the group happened to be very busy, getting two could discourage to work on them. At the same time some people may not have any Moly to work.
Other news: have you notice the wonderfull share buttom that Tim just installed in our blog? thanks Tim!

other Moly blogs
Hi guys! I was curious and I was watching the other Moleskines Blogs. I found that some of us also participate in some other moleskines exchange that I did´t know about...with realy great drawings. it would be nice if everybody could write on the comment in wich Moleskine exchange he is currently participating with the link of the blog, so that everybody can take a look a them.
I would love to participate in other exchange but before I settle down it would be difficult.
cheers to all!

Call for Entries

I am thrilled that moly_x will be exhibiting at Minnesota Center of Book Arts (MCBA), between mid-January through March 2011. It's coming up! This is a great venue, and this exhibit could mean some wonderful opportunities for other exhibitions around the country, and possible grants. This is a very receptive community.
I would like a few of the great portrait books from this group. These books do not have to be completed. If you have a book right now would you consider sending it to me next. It will be out of circulation through March, but it will get some wonderful attention. I will guarantee it's safe return, or delivery to the next artist on the list.
MCBA does a great job of documenting their shows, so you will have a nice record. Whoever is in the book may add another credit to her/his resumé. We will continue to look for other similar venues for moly_x exhibitions. There are many book art institutions like this around the country, and there are many university book arts, and illustration programs.
I have dreamed of this exhibit since we started this little project. I would like to get 2 or 3 portrait books from this group.
Thanks for you help.
Yours,
Marty
Omar's moly

Omar's moly is finally finished. Sorry this is taking me sooo long. I'm not quite so happy with my self portrait, but we can't always look as good as we want, can we? Hope everyone is doing fine. I'm in the middle of doing Ramires' moly and Danica's moly now. Robert's and Omar's will be moving along tomorrow.

Heidi's Moly
I finished also Heidi's Moly. I worked on pencil in order to blend my drawing with Ramires..The bushes and heidi's photo give me the idea of the flying butterflies. I left my portrait unfinish but recognizable to avoid stealing the attention from Heidi's portrait.

Dear MolyXp2 friends
After some weeks of trouble and a lot of imbalance, I'm using Saturday to work on the Tim's book It's been a time with less worry and a bit of fun and peace in my new studio.Through the window I see my daughter's room, I'm drinking mate and I'm listening to a Vitor Ramil milonga... It seems the sun will shine again.

Dana´s Moly
I finished Dana´s Moly yesterday night.
I was inspired by her new haircut :-)
I have to say that the previous works from Tim and Ramires are very good integrated... mine looks a little isolated.. but I choose to left some space inbetween since ramires portrait of himself could get lost.
For Dana´s hair I used some gold dust mixed with watercolour, the other tools are sepia, pitt pen and colour pencils.
