Maybe we can just be a slow group? What do you think?

I've also noticed that our group is moving much more slowly than many of the other groups. I also have not yet received any molys. However, based on the posts, etc. it seems like A LOT of people in our group (maybe even the majority) are moving slowly - not just one or two. Maybe that's not such a bad thing? Maybe we can be a slow moly group for people who are really swamped by life, art and work! I was concerned at first, but now I'm thinking, what's wrong with a slow group? I'm hoping we can just settle into a more relaxed pace than other groups have.... One suggestion I have is when a moly is mailed it would help if the person can contact the receiving person to let them know it's on the way. Otherwise, we don't know if the person before us is just slow to mail or if the moly was lost in the mail.

While I have nothing against leisurely-paced exchanges if the group agrees to it in advance before signing up.. I work very fast and situations like this drive me absolutely nuts.

If I am in the minority and everyone else is content to take it slow, I may have to politely bow out of the exchange and request my book back. At this pace we'll still be going by the time Obama is up for re-election :/

It took the whole exchange several months to get together after I had signed up, I had expected to get the thing going over my vacation and now I am swamped. While I have no problem getting my piece done in a month, I would like to know what to expect so I can decide if I want to throw my book in at all. Holding on to my moly till we have some decisions..

I am the same as Amy. I need to know that things are progressing. I sent off my Moly several months ago and contacted the person who was supposed to ship to me on Flickr and that is all she wrote.

I feel like we need someone to take charge and see who is in and who is out and where everyone stands. Otherwise I may chose to enroll in another exchange as well.

I don't have an issue with the exchange going slow as long as it's going. I sent my book off over a month ago, maybe two months now. I haven't recieved one yet. Unlike some, it takes me a while to draw anything; not the actual process of sitting down and doing it, but I usually have to let it sink in to where I'm ready for it.

I'm fine with whatever. Just keep 'em coming and I'll do what I can. When I HAVE to keep a time commitment on a drawing I usually end up resenting every bit about it and am not happy with the finished result.

Frankly, when I signed for the exchange, I thought it would start pretty soon. Unfortunately, I am in the middle of a pretty intense school year so I may have to pull out. If any one wants to email me before sending the book back to the owner, then I would love to do it if I am on summer break. Otherwise, this was something I expected to happen rather fast and now the timing is really bad for me and I dont want to hold anyone up. Sorry for holding your book up a month, Amy.

I'm in the middle of everything too. Wrapping things up with school for retirement and then packing away my life to move to another country. I'm pushing through with my entree on Yelnoc's moly and mailing it out as soon as its done unless he wants it back. Sorry, Robert, for the weeks delay. It arrived in Manila November 25 and I received it a week after.

Are we still going through with the group?

Unfortunately I have been one of the slow ppl for whatever reason. I have kept in contact with the person who is suppose to send me books and emailed to the person who I send too.

Communication is key to each other and on the blog. Also maybe posting pics of progressed and finished work will keep up enthuism and get the ball rolling.
